Hi! I'm Dylan

In the three years that Dylan has been at [REDACTED] he has demonstrated a keenness and maturity beyond his years when it comes to technical support for performances. As early as year 7, he was teaching himself how to use and programme the lighting desk and use our old analogue PA system. Throughout Year 8 and 9, he very quickly showed a good understanding and thirst for knowledge, frequently going away and researching equipment, techniques and processes. Dylan is highly motivated to further his technical ability using both sound and lighting equipment. He has independently researched and taught himself to use our Allen and Heath Qu16 Digital Mixer including a variety of more complex functions in order to best suit the acoustic space of the performances; demonstrating a good understanding of different equipment/microphones etc for concert set-ups. He has also researched, set up and programmed our lighting using a Zero 88 FLX S24 desk within our performing arts studio as well as the main hall. Dylan has set up and overseen the sound and lighting for several performances and events in school including more complex requirements e.g. rock band set up, and can be relied upon to demonstrate forethought and troubleshooting skills. Dylan has a fantastic work ethic and is both passionate and intrinsically driven in his pursuit of expertise in sound and lighting. He also regularly helps with sound and lighting at [REDACTED] using both Allen and Heath SQ5 and ZED14 for sound and ChamSys QuickQ 10 lighting console.
